Indigent Defense Services (IDS) would like to welcome you to the North Carolina public defense team and thank you for being willing to help those who live in our communities who are less fortunate.
IDS needs just a few pieces of information from you so that we can communicate with you effectively, update you on changes regarding key issues such as hourly compensation rates, and advocate more effectively for resources to assist you.
Be Advised: All public defense attorneys are required to update their registration at least once every year in January.
* Even if you have done public defense work for IDS for a long time, if you have not registered in this system before, you will be registering for the first time.
